Williamstown Lake
Williamstown Lake is located in the city of Williamstown, Ky. It was completed in 1955 and serves as a watersource for Grant County. It is also a minor lake for the state of Kentucky but still offers great fishing. Williamstown Lake is also undergoing studies for expansion. Proposals are realistic to the point that the lake will be expanded to 1,500 acres in the coming years.
Williamstown Lake is approximately 330 surface acres at summer pool. The lake also offers nearly 20 miles of shoreline. The lake averages 23 ft in depth with maximum depths of 70 ft. Fishing is good at the points of the lake and near the dam. Fishing though can be challenging because of the numerous boating and watercraft activities. For best fishing hit the lake early in the morning before the boaters and jet skis or in the evening just before dusk.
